You can do a few simple things as an ESU student, faculty or staff member to help protect yourself and others against phishing and similarly malicious attacks. Be a good digital citizen, an always-alert Hornet and PROTECT THE NEST!

Wherever possible, activate 2-Step verification for account login, this is sometimes referred to as Multi-Factor Authentication or MFA.

When working with email, if you do not know the person do not click any links they send you and do not reply to unknown senders.

We are more than happy to answer questions you may have about the legitimacy of any email you receive. As a rule no ESU employee will EVER ask you for your password through email or over the phone.
